On his 55th birthday today, January 27, Bobby Deol received a special surprise from the makers of his upcoming movie, Kanguva, as they released the first-look poster featuring the actor. In the striking poster, Bobby Deol exuded a ‘ruthless, powerful, unforgettable’ aura, sporting long untidy hair and a bone necklace with blood marks. The actor was depicted surrounded by a multitude of people, maintaining a stern expression.
Kanguva marks Bobby Deol’s Tamil debut, and back in December 2023, he expressed that his role in the Suriya-starrer takes him beyond his usual comfort zone. “This role is definitely out of my comfort zone, and I don’t know the language, so that is again totally out of my zone. I can’t even learn Tamil in a month or two, but I will work on it,” he shared with India Today.

Produced by Studio Green in association with UV Creations, the film is generating high expectations, especially with the announcement that it will be released in 10 languages in 3D format. Directed by Siva, known for multiple blockbuster hits, Kanguva features Suriya and Disha Patani in the lead roles. The remaining star cast will be unveiled in due course. Cinematography is handled by Vetri Palanisamy, and the musical score is composed by ‘Rockstar’ Devi Sri Prasad. Suriya has reportedly completed shooting for the film.
Siva previously commented on the project, saying, “I worked on this script four years ago. Suriya loved it, and so did Gnavavel Raja. Suriya was sincere to the role, and his makeover to play it was physically demanding.”
