Alia Bhatt made a stunning statement at the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya by donning a specially crafted saree. The attire, a turquoise blue Mysore silk saree from Madhurya Creations, featured intricate hand-painted scenes from the epic Ramayana on its pallu. Notably, the creation of this masterpiece took a dedicated effort of 100 hours.
The historic event on January 22 witnessed the pran pratishtha of Ram Lalla at his janmbhoomi, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducting the rituals. Numerous celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, and Vicky Kaushal, gathered in Ayodhya to witness the occasion.
Alia’s saree, however, stole the spotlight as it portrayed key events from the Ramayana. Scenes such as the breaking of the Shiva Dhanush, King Dasharatha’s promise, the boat journey with Guha, the golden deer, the kidnapping, the Ram Setu, Lord Hanuman presenting the ring to Ma Sita, and the Rama Pattabishek were intricately depicted.
Stylist Ami Patel, sharing details about the outfit, described it as “Simple yet Historic.” Alia shared Ami’s post, expressing that the effort put into the creation of the pattachitra saree, showcasing the beautiful epic of Ramayana, was truly commendable.

Fans admired Alia’s choice of a simple bun and minimalistic makeup to complement the saree. Additionally, the photographs capturing the camaraderie between Alia, Ranbir, Katrina, and Vicky garnered much attention.
On the professional front, Alia is currently engrossed in shooting for her upcoming project ‘Jigra,’ which she is co-producing with Karan Johar. Directed by Vasan Bala, the movie promises to be an exciting venture for the talented actress.
